USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Service) offers many forms based on the purpose of the petition by the applicant. The employment based USCIS forms are used for petitioning a non . immigrant worker, applying for a Travel Document, filing an Affidavit of Support, Petitioning an Alien Worker, Petitioning an Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, applying for Employment Authorization, Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions, Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member, and Employment Eligibility Verification.
Family Based USCIS forms are used to petition family members, Fiancé (e), file affidavit of support, apply for a travel document, to apply for Waiver of Rights, Privileges, Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition and various other reasons.
The adoption based USCIS forms are used when an individual wishes to legalize the adoption of their children and to classify as immediate relative. The humanitarian based forms are used to apply for Permission to Reapply for Admission into the United States after Deportation or Removal, Waiver of Ground of Inadmissibility, Health and Human Services Statistical Data for Refugee/Asylee Adjusting Status and for several other reasons.
All USCIS forms must be submitted to a designated service center. The type of petition or application filed will dictate which service center will apply. Each of the USCIS forms has a different filing fee associated with it and the applicants must ensure they file the form with the correct fee amount to avoid denial of their application. Generally, the USCIS has discretion to waive any of the filing fees if the applicant proves that he/she is unable to pay the required fee. The decision on the petition is determined by the eligibility for the petition and based on the purpose and the documents provided.
